Project activity – participation in the Science Festival 馃尶馃敩

Unforgettable day in 艁膮ka
On 26 May 2026, students of classes VIIa and VIIb took part in the Science Festival “In the World of Senses”, which was held at the School Complex in 艁膮ka. During the event, they had the opportunity to explore how our senses work by taking part in shows, experiments, and interactive stations prepared by the hosts and festival partners. 馃憖馃憘馃И

Active participation of our students
The seventh‑graders from Rudna Wielka were not just observers – they eagerly tested their senses, solved puzzles, took part in mini‑experiments, and talked with the presenters. The students emphasized that thanks to this form of activities, learning became more interesting and “more tangible”, and the knowledge from biology, physics, and chemistry lessons gained a completely new meaning. 馃挕馃摎

Educational and formative value
The trip to the Science Festival was for our seventh‑graders not only an attractive way to spend the day, but above all an important educational experience. The students developed their curiosity about the world, learned to cooperate in a group, and discovered how science connects with everyday life. 馃實馃

A KICK-OFF MEETING

馃尡 Launch of the “STEMbark: Rooting Future Innovators” Project

We are proud to announce the launch of the “STEMbark: Rooting Future Innovators” project, implemented under the Erasmus+ Programme, KA210 action. On 9–10 April 2026, our school hosted four teachers from T眉rkiye and two teachers from Portugal, who are partners in this international collaboration.

馃幆 Project Goals

The aim of the project is to develop STEM competences through hands‑on learning, practical experiences, and international cooperation. The initiative places strong emphasis on fostering creativity, logical thinking, and problem‑solving skills among young people.
An important part of the project is also environmental education 馃實, encouraging responsibility for the future of our planet. Together, we are “rooting innovation” by building strong foundations for tomorrow’s innovators.

馃懃 Meeting with Students

During a meeting with Grade VII students, teachers from partner countries presented their schools, education systems, and shared insights into the culture and everyday life of their countries. All presentations were delivered in English 馃嚞馃嚙, which is the working language of the project.

馃捇 Key Project Outcome

One of the main results of the project will be an educational platform, featuring STEM‑based lesson plans and teaching materials supporting science education.
This is the second international project carried out at our school alongside the Erasmus+ Accreditation, confirming our commitment to modern, globally oriented education 馃殌.

PORTUGAL FIRST ACTIVITY

On the 3rd and 4th of this month, as part of the S+T+ARTS AQUA MOTION artistic residency and the Rio Neiva Association, the artists from the Sea Shells, She Tells project held an intensive workshop with students from 5潞C and 5潞G, combining deep listening, memory, creative drawing, and interactive technology.

It was an opportunity to discuss water and the protection of marine environments, which awakened memories. Consequently, students were invited to share their memories through writing, images, and sound. Finally, the works were presented through an installation, the result of a combination of technology, sound, and image. Similarly, through TouchDesigner and Playtronica sensors, the classes had the opportunity to experience the connection with natural objects and shells, digitally activating sounds and stories.

In essence, there is a shell that holds a memory, and there is a fragment of landscape that responds to touch. With this workshop, the classes were guided through the notion that we all live on a planet in tune with all natural and unnatural elements, always together, aware of each other, interacting with each other, never forgetting ourselves and everything that our consciousness has built, in close connection with the environment, in a sustainable way.
